Academic Sources

Source One: This article explains the impact that the past has on our lives, as well as how that plays a role in the outcomes of our future.

Source Two: This article illustrates how a parent essentially has three jobs: spouse, parent and worker. All three of these jobs have a huge impact on the person that you are and that shows how you have chosen to live your life as an individual.

Source Three: This article shows how getting an education will allow you to have a better quality of life. It shows the importance of an education, but I am also curious to find out the success rate of those who do not have a college education.

Paper Proposal

The more videos I watch, the more confused I get on the idea behind life. Each video contradicts one another, yet each video is correct at the same time. I have never actually sat down and gave any thought as to what my purpose of life truly is. I live life day to day, and I conquer my issues one at a time. Rather than thinking of the future, my mind is in the present.
I have chosen to write my paper on the purpose and meaning of life. All of the videos I have begun to watch have given me a list of questions to look at. These questions are all so closely related, but at the same time they’re completely different.
-       What impact does the past have?
-       How do you want to spend you life?
-       Would the previous question change if life didn’t revolve around money?
-       Would you prefer to have a short life loving what you do, or a long miserable life?
-       Who/what do you trust?
-       Do you allow the opinions of other to change who you are?
-       Do you follow your heart or listen to your mind?
-       Do you love what you do? Job and/or partner?
-       Are you the master of your own life?
-       Do you know how to play “the game”?
-       What matters?
-       Once you have everything you want, then what?

Is monopoly the game of life?

Challenges Activity

The usage of technology is not something that comes easily to me. I do not have a hard time when I am given a list of directions to follow, however when I have to explore the website on my own I begin to have problems. Rather than clicking on random buttons and trying to figure it out on my own, I tend to get frustrated and give up. This blogging assignment is helping me get past that because I cannot give up. Therefore, I have been using Google and the help of my peers to overcome these challenges. This has helped me become more familiar with how to use blogs and hopefully more technology in the future!

Self Summoned Summary

Two Versions of Life

As young adults or even an adolescent, we dig for a deeper meaning of why we were given a chance to breathe on this earth. It requires looking past the materialistic reasons and digging for a strong spiritual connection as to why we are here. We must use our time sparingly and set ourselves up for short and long-term goals. We will achieve these goals by setting our priorities straight and having determination. However, not all goals will be reached in a short period of time. In fact, the most meaningful goals tend to take the longest to reach. These goals will eventually be rewarding and give a sense of accomplishment when reached. We must be willing to adjust to all changes whether they have a positive or negative impact on our lives. On the other hand, some people choose to live a Summoned Life. Rather than trying to force ourselves to be someone, we explore the earth and let those experiences define the person we will eventually become. We know what lies ahead due to others personal experiences but we will never actually know what it endures until we go through it our self. The specific engagements we go through in the Summoned Life lead us to become someone/something. In order to find all of the answers to our questions, we must continue on our path and the answers will eventually unfold. Finding the purpose of our life tends to be Americanized, while on the other hand, the Summoned Life occurs in other countries where travel and exploring play a big role in their daily lives.
